“The SBU has arrested a former employee of one of the structural divisions of the special services, who urged the Ukrainian defenders to desert,” the agency said in a Telegram channel.

According to the investigation, the accused left the service at the beginning of 2022 and moved to one of the EU countries. From there he called his former colleagues and urged them to desert, in which case he promised “everything would be fine” with them and threatened to release their personal data if refused.
According to the SBU, in March 2023 the accused crossed the state border of Ukraine, where he was immediately detained. He was informed of suspicion under various articles of the Criminal Code – “treason” and “escape”.
