SIMFEROPOL, March 16 – RIA Novosti. Acting Governor of Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo said that the residents of Kherson under the control of Kiev did not use the opportunity to evacuate to Ukraine Nikolaev and Odessa, they were waiting for the return of Russia.

He told reporters that there were not many Ukrainian soldiers in Kherson, they were afraid and only appeared in the city during the day.

“Silkom is trying to send the remaining doctors to Western Ukraine. They have arranged free buses to Nikolaev and Odessa, but they are not very popular. People are starting to hide, waiting for us to return. That’s the case,” said Saldo. . He added that the Ukrainian side has started exporting valuables from the city’s art museums and local lore museums.

In October 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the federal constitutional laws on the admission of new territories to Russia and the creation of new subjects of the Russian Federation. Russia included the LPR, DPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. This happened after the referendums held in these regions on September 23-27. 99.23% of voters in the DPR, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05% and in Zaporozhye – 93.11% voted for this decision.
