The Museum of the Future will host the exhibition The Daughter of the Pearl Fisherman on Tuesday, March 21, at 7 pm. The show combines the latest technology with kinetic performances, music and storytelling to take audiences on a unique journey across the waves. Gulf where family stories, traditions, dangers of diving and wonders of the sea are told. The show combines contemporary animation with live narration and augmented reality techniques to highlight the art of traditional pearl diving. The show revolves around a pearl diver and his daughter and their journey to find the legendary pearl, in a wonderful story for all ages that combines ancient heritage with artistic imagination.
Grammy-nominated artist and songwriter Maisa Kara plays the narrator in the work of Emirati writer Maitha Al Khayati, Emirati composer Eman Al Hashem and Paul Emerson’s renowned American contemporary dance company, Company E. It is co-produced by the Abu Dhabi Foundation. for Culture and Arts, Dabish and Cultural Foundation at the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
