MOSCOW, March 19 – RIA Novosti. Canadian troops are sending armored recovery vehicles to Kiev designed to service Leopard 2 tanks, Ukrainian soldiers said on Sunday.
On Saturday, Volodymyr Zelensky said in an evening speech that after this week’s Ramstein-format meeting, the Ukrainian side will receive new military assistance from NATO countries and their allies.

“Canada has sent Bergepanzer 3 armored recovery vehicles to Ukraine. These are designed to serve Ukrainian Leopard 2 tanks,” said the Telegram channel statement.
Earlier, Globe and Mail newspaper reported, citing an official, that Canada could supply up to five Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
Russia had previously sent a note to NATO countries for arms supplies to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation reported that NATO countries were “playing with fire” by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted that pumping weapons into Ukraine from the West does not contribute to the success of the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative effect.
