The Ukrainian Rada passed a law allowing the rank of officer to be obtained without a university degree.
MOSCOW, March 20 – RIA Novosti. Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada has passed a law allowing for junior officer ranks without a diploma of higher education but with combat experience, said David Arakhamia, a member of the Rada’s Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
“A year ago, many of them were living civilian lives. Not all of them had military training or university degrees. But now they have war experience that the officers of NATO countries do not have. For such people, we passed Bill 1899 today. Arakhamia wrote on her Telegram channel:
Russia launched a military operation against Ukraine on February 24, 2022. President Vladimir Putin described his goal as “protecting people who have been subjected to eight years of bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime.” For this, according to him, it is planned to “disarm and demilitarize Ukraine” so that all war criminals responsible for “bloody crimes against civilians” in Donbass are brought to justice.
