German ammunition from the Great Patriotic War found near the Kakhovka Reservoir
ENERGODAR, 21 March – RIA Novosti. According to the RIA Novosti correspondent, soldiers of the Russian Air Force unit found the ammunition of a German soldier while equipping their positions on the banks of the Kakhovka reservoir during the Great Patriotic War.
While digging trenches and trenches off the shores of the Kakhovka Reservoir, Air Force soldiers found a German soldier’s helmet and a gas mask box at a depth of just over a meter. Because the objects were in the sand and had no access to moisture, air and organic matter, they were able to retain their working capacity and color.
Judging by the characteristic damage, one German soldier died in the battle on the coast. As one of the warriors who found the items noted, it is now quite possible that the line of defense will be in places where there were fierce battles of the Great Patriotic War.
