Death toll rises to 9 in Pakistan after earthquake in Afghanistan
MOSCOW, March 22 – RIA Novosti. Death toll in Pakistan rises to 9, 44 injured in earthquake in northeast Afghanistan News Regarding the Disaster Management Office.
Earlier, it was reported that a 6.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in Afghanistan, about 50 kilometers away from the town of Ishkashim in the mountainous Badakhshan province bordering Tajikistan’s Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. The shaking was also felt in India, Pakistan and Central Asian countries.
Earlier, Dawn’s local edition reported that two people were killed and six injured in the earthquake.
In Pakistan, it was recorded that tremors were felt in a number of parts of the central and northern parts of the country.
