Medvedev: APU’s attempt to recapture Crimea will be grounds for Russia to use any weapon
MOSCOW, March 24 – RIA Novosti. Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of the Security Council of Russia, said in an interview with leading Russian media, including RIA Novosti, that Kiev’s attempt to retake Crimea would certainly be the basis for any use of weapons by Russia.
“If we talk about some serious attacks connected with the attempt to take back Crimea, it is absolutely clear that it is the basis for the use of all means of protection, including those provided by the core doctrine of nuclear deterrence. The use of all kinds of weapons against Russia threatens the existence of the state,” Medvedev said.
He explained that the attempt to divide a part of the state means an encroachment on the existence of the state.
“Therefore, draw your own conclusions: there are clear grounds for using any weapon here. Absolutely anything. And I hope our overseas “friends” understand that,” said the vice-chairman of the Security Council.

Medvedev addressed Ukraine’s statements on the “return” of Crimean propaganda.
