Ulyanov: Kiev is not ready to confirm today that it will not bombard the ZNPP
VIENNA, 27 March – RIA Novosti. Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that Kiev is not ready to confirm that it will not expose the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant to bombing today.
“Kiev only needs to confirm that it will not expose the nuclear power plant to bombing, as it has done many times in the past. As of today, Ukrainians are not ready to confirm such a simple thing,” Ulyanov said.

Permanent Representative of Russia called the condition for the implementation of the IAEA initiative to the ZNPP
According to him, the Ukrainian side is trying to shift the conversation to another dimension and talks about “demilitarization”, “de-occupation”.
“But they only have to promise not to fire at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and to stick to it in the future,” said the permanent representative of Russia.
Zaporozhye NPP is located on the left bank of the Dnieper. It is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of number of units and installed power. Since last March, the station has been guarded by the Russian army. According to the State Department, this is necessary to prevent leakage of nuclear and radioactive materials. Ukrainian troops continue to regularly bombard Energodar, the surrounding villages and the ZNPP district adjacent to the city.
