MOSCOW, April 1 – RIA Novosti. Hero of Russia Nikolai Tkach, commander of a motorized rifle company, told reporters that he received a reward by his unit for capturing enemy positions without losses.
On Saturday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu presented state awards to military personnel at the headquarters of the combined group of Russian troops, including the General of the Army, who presented the Gold Stars to Heroes of Russia.
“We advanced with the unit to the high post, reached the desired line. We stood there for three days. We resisted the enemy artillery. After that, we began to advance. We managed to bypass the enemy on the left flank. We managed to capture him without loss. We took 10 prisoners,”- said Tkach.

According to Anzhela Suleymanova, the operating nurse who also received the medal, several sorties are made a day, and she and her colleagues go to their destinations and pick up the injured, despite the weather conditions. “It can be very difficult, we help, we do dressings, we administer anesthesia. I’m proud to have received such an award. The state award is very important to me,” she said.
