Earlier, a New York grand jury voted to impeach Trump. Manhattan prosecutors are accusing the former US president of more than 30 business frauds, according to CNN sources. Officially, the charges will only be revealed when Trump goes to court, but it’s assumed we’re talking about the pornographic actress Stormy Daniels case – she was allegedly paid a large sum to keep quiet about her alleged affair with Trump.
The former president has previously denied both affiliation with Daniels and any unlawful acts on his behalf. Commenting on the allegations made against him by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, Trump said he could not count on a fair trial in New York.
Trump is expected to appear in court on April 4. As the politician’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, said before in attendance, the former US president plans to proclaim his innocence.
