Biden urges Congress to tighten gun circulation after new cases of shootings in US
WASHINGTON, April 17 – RIA Novosti. US President Joe Biden has urged Congress to tighten rules on the circulation of weapons, including banning assault rifles and lifting legal immunity from manufacturers’ use of their products, following new cases of gunfire on the streets of American cities.
Biden said he and his wife were praying for the families of the four Americans who died at a youth party in Deadville, Alabama, and two other Americans who were shot and killed in a public park in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday.

Making the statement announced by the White House, the US President said, “The number one killer of children in America is guns and the numbers are only increasing, not decreasing.”
He reiterated his readiness to work with representatives of all powers in Congress on “federal law that will save lives.”
“Secure weapons storage is within the power of Congress to require a history check of all sales, to lift arms manufacturers’ disclaimers, to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. All this must be done without delay,” he said.
Biden denounced the recent attendance of GOP leaders, including former President Donald Trump, to the convention of the National Rifle Association (NRA), America’s leading gun lobby.
