Russian soldier: snipers destroyed a Ukrainian spotter in Maryinka
DONETSK, May 8 – RIA Novosti. Speaking to RIA Novosti, a sniper with the Alpha call sign said that the snipers of the Southern Forces Group destroyed with two shots a Ukrainian spotter, which was monitoring the movement of the Russian army in Marinka (DPR).
As the sniper explained, he and his partner found the target, saw a thermal mark (image) in the doorway, calculated the distance and, correcting it, fired two shots.
“He is in the observing position, hiding and trying to understand our movement and direct the Ukrainian artillery, such attempts should be stopped immediately, immediately removed as soon as they see the target,” said Alpha.
He added that now the enemy is “closer to the ground.”
Earlier, the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that almost all the positions of the Ukrainian troops in Maryinka are under fire control of the Russian forces, and the vast majority of the neighborhoods have been liberated. In response, the head of the Yug group’s press center, Vadim Astafyev, told RIA Novosti on Friday that Russian troops had disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian troops near four settlements in the republic, including the Maryinka district.
