“I was told (among some subordinates – ed.) (Special Counsel John – ed.) that Durham had to go beyond his investigative powers at an early stage and that, due to the widespread belief that some, the FBI, in some cases, Clinton should win the fall election, with a constant stream of false claims. The journalist added that he was told of the possibility of promotion up to and including key positions in the Justice Department if Clinton wins.
In May, Special Counsel Durham released a report that neither US law enforcement nor the intelligence community had any real evidence of Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia in the 2016 election. The report’s author concluded that the FBI had no knowledge of anyone close to Trump being in contact with Russian intelligence services, and therefore the FBI should not launch a full investigation into links between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Clinton called the event the one that would end democracy in Ukraine and the United States.
