Luxembourg Prime Minister Bettel tells Zelensky to shut up in an obscene gesture
MOSCOW, June 3 – RIA Novosti. With a humiliating gesture, Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel told Volodymyr Zelensky to shut up. The event took place on the sidelines of the summit of the European political community, the relevant video was posted on the Internet.
The footage shows Zelensky trying to talk to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Battel. But after a short conversation, Battel made a typical gesture towards Zelensky, possibly hinting at Zelensky’s excessive talkativeness.
In response, Zelensky turned around with a fake smile, trying to show reporters that he did not perceive Battel’s behavior as an insult.
After meeting with Zelensky, Serbian President Vučić said that the meeting did not change Serbia’s stance on sanctions against Russia. The Serbian leader has repeatedly stated that his country will maintain its policy of military neutrality and will try to hold on “to the best of my ability” without imposing sanctions on Moscow.
