Japarov met with European Council President Charles Michel in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, on Saturday. The President of Kyrgyzstan emphasized the historical importance of the meeting, saying, “For the first time in the history of bilateral cooperation, the Kyrgyz side is making such a high-level visit to the country by the President of the European Union.”
“We attach great importance to this fact. Your personal attention to our country and region gives us an additional incentive to further develop and strengthen partnerships with the European Union.
