WASHINGTON, June 9 – RIA Novosti. U.S. President of the House Kevin McCarthy described President Joe Biden’s accusation of his main rival in the 2024 election, Donald Trump, as “unthinkable”.
Former President Trump said he previously faced charges related to possession of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida.

Congressman urged to send Biden to jail
“This is truly a black day for the United States. It is unthinkable for the president to bring charges against the main candidate who opposes him,” McCarthy said in a statement.
He added that Biden had been hiding classified documents “for decades”.
McCarthy expressed support for Republican Trump, who maintained his innocence and called the accusations “election interference.”
“I and every American who believes in the rule of law stand with President Trump in the face of this great injustice,” the speaker said.
Trump said he will be summoned to court next Tuesday.
