Odessa Regional Military Administration warns of increased danger of mines and explosives
MOSCOW, 10 June/ Radio Sputnik. Sergei Bratchuk, adviser to the head of the Odessa regional military administration, said that the authorities of the Odessa region warned of the increased danger due to the risk of detonation of mines drifting along the Black Sea coast.
“Sea: the danger of mine-explosion has increased. Mines are hitting the shore. It’s stupid to swim in the sea today. Save your life and your loved ones.” aforementioned Bratchuk in a video posted on his Telegram channel.
He noted that the beaches have become dangerous areas. The wreckage washed ashore may contain explosive objects, including not only mines, but also unexploded ordnance.
Radio Sputnik also reported that Turkey fears a possible “disaster” due to mines drifting in the Black Sea.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that the Ukrainian ship struck a mine at the mouth of the Danube.
