Former US spy Ritter: West threatened Zelensky with retaliation in case of attack on ZNPP
MOSCOW, 9 July – RIA Novosti. The West warned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of sabotage attempts at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, he said in an interview with his YouTube channel Judging Freedom retired US intelligence officer Scott Ritter.
“I think Zelensky was given a warning in the West. He was told to stop. If he attacks a nuclear power plant and it has serious consequences, he will get rid of it,” he said.
According to the expert, with such actions the Kiev regime hoped to secure international intervention that would help them regain control over the nuclear power plant.
At the same time, Ritter noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would not be able to carry out such an operation due to the good preparation of Russia. Moscow was well aware of Kiev’s plans and could avert the threat in time if necessary.
This was unexpected. In the United States, they searched for Putin’s gun, which became a disaster for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
