ZNPP head Chernichuk denies reports in the Ukrainian media that employees are struggling
MELITOPOL, 11 August – RIA Novosti. Yuriy Chernichuk, the director of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, denied the reports in the Ukrainian media about the allegation that he forced employees to work at the factory, who had previously left their jobs due to the situation in the region.
“I read in the press and media (Ukrainian sources – ed.) that I forced someone (to work at ZNPP – ed.). I want to put this person in front of me and let him tell. I promise him safety. Let him say that I forced him. We we’re not forcing anyone,” said Chernichuk.
He also denied the claims of the Ukrainian media that there was shooting from the police station. “From our side, from the side of the station, I assure you they are not shooting. Because there is nothing to shoot here,” said Chernichuk.
