Fidan: Iranian President Raisi will pay an official visit to Turkey
ISTANBUL, 3 September – RIA Novosti. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Sunday that Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi is expected to pay an official visit to Turkey in the coming days.
At a press conference in Tehran with his Iranian counterpart, Hussein, Fidan said, “We expect Mr. Raisi to visit Turkey on the occasion of the eighth meeting of the High Level Cooperation Council. I hope Raisi will meet with our President.” said. Abdullahi
Fidan said that he and his colleague discussed a number of problems related to the fight against terrorism and economic and commercial cooperation.
According to him, during the talks, Ankara expressed its opinion on the cleansing of Syria from the militants of the Kurdistan Workers Party, which are recognized as terrorists in Turkey. Fidan noted that Ankara expects cooperation with Damascus in the fight against the PKK and is in favor of the voluntary return of Syrian refugees to their countries.
