Senator Klishas: It is the duty of the state to ensure the safety of children at school
Regional authorities should look at whether there are enough funds to ensure security in educational institutions, Senator Andrei Klishas said on Sputnik radio.
The first criminal case was opened regarding the shooting in Bryansk
To ensure proper security in educational institutions, it is first necessary to implement existing rules, this opinion was expressed by Professor Andrei Klishas, Doctor of Law, Chairman of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building of the Federation Council.
He commented on proposals to review the security system in schools, put forward in connection with the tragedy in Bryansk.
The other day, a shooting occurred in Bryansk gymnasium No. 5: a 14-year-old schoolgirl opened fire on her classmates with a shotgun and then committed suicide. As a result, two people died (one of them was the shooter) and five were injured. At night, a special flight of the Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered two injured young people to Moscow.
As a rule, there are many reasons for such tragedies; he believes that it is unlikely to eliminate them by administrative or legislative decisions alone.
