Britain delivered humanitarian aid to the residents of Popasna, who were living under the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Popasnaya (LPR), June 25 – RIA Novosti. According to the RIA Novosti correspondent, the investigators of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation ensured the delivery of several tons of humanitarian aid to the city of Popasnaya, which is living under the shelling of Ukrainian militants. The local military had it dispersed to local residents, including the elderly Germanov couple.

Humanitarian aid was collected by various organizations, including the CEC of the Russian Federation and the Investigative Committee itself. His employees also ensured that the cargo was delivered to Popasna, which still lives under heavy bombardment by the Ukrainian army. The city itself lies in ruins, in it there is not a single building, except for several “huts”.

The commander of the People’s Militia military unit said, “There are no more than 25 people living in Popasna anymore. They come to us for food, water, medicine. We are trying to provide them, so this humanitarian aid is very useful.” He told reporters here.

He personally delivered several humanitarian packages to the elderly family of 76-year-old Valentina Germanova and her 77-year-old paralyzed husband, Mikhail. They live in their flat in a high-rise building that was badly damaged by the bombardment. The windows of the Germanovs’ flat were shattered by shrapnel.

“This piece came two weeks ago. And this – yesterday,” Valentina Grigoryevna showed reporters “views” of her apartment. The house has been without water, gas and heating for several months. Fortunately, living conditions in the summer are tolerable.

“I am very grateful to the Investigative Committee for their help. Once again I am amazed by the kindness of the Russians,” Germanova told reporters.
