Putin awarded the 80th Red Banner Tank Regiment the honorary title of Guards
MOSCOW, July 5 – RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the 80th Red Banner Tank Regiment the honorary title “Guards” for mass heroism and courage in combat operations, decree published on the official internet portal of legal information.
“For the mass heroism and courage, fortitude and courage shown by the regiment’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts: to name the 80th Red Banner Tank Regiment the honorary “Guards” and continue: 80th Guards Red Banner Tank Regiment,” says the document. It was noted that the decree entered into force on 5 July, the date of its signing.
