Security Council Secretary Patrushev discussed the construction of modern courts in Khabarovsk

KHABAROVSK, July 6 – RIA Novosti. As part of his working tour on Wednesday, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev visited major local industrial enterprises in Khabarovsk, a shipbuilding and oil refinery.

At the Khabarovsk shipbuilding plant, Patrushev discussed the further loading of the enterprise for the construction of ships for the navy, as well as ships of various classes of civil use, including those intended for uninterrupted passenger transport.

Patrushev paid special attention to the training of personnel for shipbuilding, noting the need to provide the enterprise with local specialists.

While visiting the Khabarovsk Oil Refinery, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation discussed the prospects of increasing the enterprise’s capacity to produce high-tech products and ensuring their stable supply to domestic and foreign markets. The enterprise’s counter-terrorism protection, industrial and environmental security issues were also touched upon.

Khabarovsk Shipbuilding Plant (KhSZ, part of USC) is one of the leaders in shipbuilding in the Far East. The business builds ships and vessels of various classes and purposes, including passenger transport and mining activities.

The Khabarovsk Oil Refinery (KhNPZ) is one of the most important enterprises of domestic industry in the Far East and is an important link in the NNK group, with a complex of oil processing capacity of 5 million tons per year. Industrial products are sold to consumers in the Khabarovsk, Primorsky and Kamchatka Territories, Amur, Magadan Regions and Buryatia, and are exported to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The company has implemented a program for import substitution of equipment.

In 2015, KhNPZ completed a general restructuring, which made it possible to increase the capacity of the refinery, switch to the production of fuel of Euro-5 class and reduce the burden on the environment, including connecting the plant to the ESPO ( East Siberia – Pacific Ocean) oil pipeline.
