Crossing point and weapons depot of Ukrainian saboteurs found in the Kherson region
KHERSON, July 7 – RIA Novosti. A law enforcement source told RIA Novosti that Russian security forces discovered a cache of grenade launchers in Kherson and a transit point for Ukrainian saboteurs in the area.
“In an abandoned private house in Kherson, at the request of the Ukrainian border guards, a cache was arranged with weapons that the detainee brought by water for seven thousand hryvnia from the village of Parutino in the Mykolaiv region. I have never contacted,” he said.
In the cache they found grenade launchers, two dozen grenades and fuses for them, more than 1.8 thousand ammunition, two Kalashnikov assault rifles and other weapons.
Also, in the village of Kuibyshevo, near Kherson, security forces uncovered a transfer point for Ukrainian saboteurs.
“In a private house belonging to a friend of one of the detainees, a waypoint for members of the DRG was arranged, where the weapons in a cache in the first house were previously stored,” the agency’s interlocutor explained.
For them, they found eight grenades and fuses, a set of security guard uniforms, a GPS navigator and tactical binoculars.
The Russian army took control of the Kherson region in mid-March. Since then, caches containing weapons and explosives have been regularly found there. In addition, former employees of the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine voluntarily hand over weapons and caches.
