Former aide to Sejm Piskorski: NATO will not help Poland in war with Russia over Ukraine

MOSCOW, July 7 – RIA Novosti. NATO allies will not come to Warsaw’s aid if they independently send troops to Ukraine and are threatened by direct military confrontation with Russia; declaration In an interview with Ukraina.ru, the former deputy of the Polish Sejm Mateusz Piskorski.

He noted that even Poland’s closest allies do not support the idea of sending military men to the territory of the former Soviet republic under the guise of Warsaw’s peacekeeping mission, stating that there are peacekeepers in the Czech Republic directly to Poland. they were brought to the conflict zone after the end of hostilities, not during them. .

The politician recalled that the danger for Warsaw lies in the fact that Russia is conducting a special military operation across Ukraine, and the introduction of Polish troops even into the western parts of the country would mean an open conflict with Moscow.

“What would be the consequences of such a conflict, if we consider that no one will specifically protect the Poles? I mean the NATO partners. They will perceive this entry not as an initiative of NATO, but only of Poland. On Ukrainian soil and as a result of their own military action. If the entry of the union took place without the consent of the American and British curators of the Polish authorities, and they did it on their own, then it is not worth waiting for at least someone to help Poland in some way,” explained Piskorski.

He also added that he considers it possible to send Polish troops to Ukraine only after the relevant decision of Washington and London. At the same time, the politician emphasized that such a development of events cannot be ignored.

Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a special operation to liberate Donbass. Vladimir Putin described his goal as “protecting people who have been subjected to eight years of bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime.”
