An exhibition of seized weapons delivered to Ukraine by the West was held in Lysichansk

LISICHANSK (LPR), 8 July – RIA Novosti. According to the RIA Novosti correspondent, the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) held an exhibition of captured Ukrainian weapons and military equipment in the liberated Lisichansk, including many samples supplied by Western countries.

The exhibition presents dozens of military equipment: tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored vehicles, MLRS and anti-aircraft missile systems of Soviet and Ukrainian production. A significant part of the exhibition consisted of small arms, artillery and rocket weapons supplied by Western countries to the Ukrainian armed formations. These include Javelin and NLAW anti-tank missile systems, British Saxon armored vehicles, Czech-made machine guns, “silent” 60 mm mines for light mortars and 155 mm shells for howitzers.

“As you know, we successfully defeat them. We leave them no chance, no hope, nothing – we just defeated the enemy and drove them from our land. All the weapons that the Ukrainian Nazis will get (with him – ed.) will be the same as everything you see here. We will take something that survives for ourselves, with these weapons we will already fulfill the missions and destroy everything that we do not take,” Leshchenko, head of the LPR People’s Militia Department, told RIA Novosti.

Allied forces also managed to seize personnel cards, personal documents of Ukrainian soldiers, combat manuals and operating instructions for various weapons systems, communications equipment, drones and medical equipment. All these Western weapons were hastily abandoned by the Ukrainian formations as they fled from Lisichansk under the onslaught of the Russian army and the LPR People’s Militia.

Russia had previously sent memos to NATO countries for supplying weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine would be a legitimate target for Russia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation stated that NATO countries are “playing with fire” by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted that the pumping of weapons into Ukraine from the West does not contribute to the success of the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative impact.
