TOLO News: Taliban bans baseless criticism of officials
MOSCOW, July 22 – RIA Novosti. Haybatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the ruling Taliban movement in Afghanistan, has banned charges against state officials without sufficient evidence. informs TV channel TOLO News.
In the statement, it was stated that the baseless allegations were false and deserved punishment. As stated, the decree is mandatory for all citizens and media outlets.
In early August 2021, the Taliban stepped up their offensive against Afghan government forces, entered Kabul on August 15 and declared the war over the next day. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said he left the country “to prevent a massacre”.
On the night of August 31, the US military left the Kabul airport, ending nearly 20 years of US military presence in Afghanistan.
