Ukrainian troops launched a rocket from HIMARS MLRS to Stakhanov
LUGANSK, July 23 – RIA Novosti. Ukrainian troops fired a missile from the American MLRS HIMARS at the city of Stakhanov, reported On the Telegram channel, the representative office of the LPR in the Armistice Joint Control and Coordination Center.
“A shelling was recorded from the side of the armed formations of Ukraine: on the settlement of Stakhanov using MLRS HIMARS (a missile) at 22.56”, the publication said.
Since the end of June 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been using these MLRSs against the Russian Armed Forces. Earlier, US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley said that Washington and its allies promised to deliver more than 20 HIMARS to Kiev, 12 of which have already been transferred.
Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a special operation to navy and demilitarize Ukraine. Vladimir Putin described his mission as “protecting people who have been subjected to eight years of bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime”. According to the president, the ultimate goal is to liberate Donbass and create conditions that guarantee Russia’s security.
