Residents of Kuzbass transferred 2.3 million rubles for the restoration of Gorlovka in the DPR

KEMEROVO, 25 July – RIA Novosti. The press service of the regional government administration reported that residents of Kuzbass transferred more than 2.3 million rubles for the restoration of Gorlovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

It was previously reported that Kuzbass will assist in the restoration of industrial facilities and civil infrastructure in Gorlovka. The district also accepted Gorlovka schools for summer holidays.

“Kuzbass is actively raising funds to restore the destroyed infrastructure of Gorlovka. Responsive residents of the region have already collected 2 million 326 thousand rubles. Also, as part of the implementation of the cooperation agreement between the Kuzbass government and the Gorlovka administration (DPR), the first humanitarian cargo batch was sent – A special equipment manufactured at the Kemerovo Experimental Mechanical Repair Plant OJSC, according to the report.

It was stated that municipal vehicles based on five KamAZ trucks will streamline the streets of the city.

A special account was opened to raise money for the restoration of Gorlovka, organized on the initiative of volunteers from the Kuzbass Student Rescue Corps.

Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, the city is home to the Stirol chemical concern and coal mining enterprises. Gorlovka is one of the largest settlements in the DPR, since 2014 it has been under the control of the republic. Before the beginning of the conflict in the Donbass, the population of Gorlovka was more than 250,000. The settlement of Zaitsevo and the settlements of Gagarin and “6/7” mines on its outskirts are most frequently bombarded here.
