Euronews: Cyprus hotel business suffers from lack of tourists from Russia
MOSCOW, July 31 – RIA Novosti. The hotel business in Cyprus is suffering from a shortage of tourists from Russia and rising electricity prices. informs Euronews channel.
It was noted that this year, tourists from the Russian Federation and Ukraine could not enter the country.
According to Garis Loizides, President of the Cyprus Hoteliers Association, electricity is the second largest cost item for businesses after wages due to the energy crisis. Loizides says many hotels send him samples of their electricity bills, and some have to pay “100,000-150,000 euros” per month.
