DPR Emergencies Ministry urged Donetsk residents to breathe in bandages due to ammonia leak at the brewery
DONETSK, August 11 – RIA Novosti. The Ministry of Emergencies of the Donetsk People’s Republic is urging residents of the Kalininsky district of Donetsk to breathe through cotton-gauze swabs due to ammonia leakage after Ukraine bombed the brewery.
The regional defense center of the DPR reported that on the evening of August 10, Ukrainian troops set fire to the Donetsk brewery in the Kalininsky district of the city, causing a leak of ammonia.
The Ministry of Emergencies of the DPR sends an SMS with a warning to residents of the Kalininsky district.
“There was an accident in the ammonia pipeline, when a dangerous chemical – ammonia was spilled. In this regard, the population needs to stay indoors. Also take measures to seal their apartments (houses), buildings,” the report says.
The Ministry of Emergencies calls for “breathing through cotton-gauze pads moistened with a 5% solution of citric or acetic acid.”
The SMS says, “Tell your neighbors about the information you have received. Help the elderly, the sick and children if necessary. In the future, act according to the instructions of the Ministry of Emergencies of the DPR.”
According to a RIA Novosti correspondent, within the radius of destruction specified by the Ministry of Emergencies, the situation is calm in the residential area, no rescue vehicles or any actions of the authorities that indicate a dangerous situation are observed.
