Ministry of Defense: Russian engineers neutralized 50,000 explosive objects in Donbass
MOSCOW, 13 August – RIA Novosti. Colonel General Mizintsev, head of the Interdepartmental Coordination Center for Humanitarian Response of the Russian Federation, said on Saturday that Russian military intelligence agents have defused more than 500,000 explosives in Donbass.
Mine-clearing detachments of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, the Ministry of Emergencies of Donetsk and the Ministry of Emergencies of the Luhansk People’s Republics continue to operate to clear the Donbass republics and liberated regions of Ukraine from explosive objects.
“A total of 17,436.35 hectares, 813 buildings (13 of them socially important objects), four bridges and 146.46 kilometers of roads were checked. 518,092 explosives were detected and defused,” Mizintsev said.
