Ukrainian Foreign Ministry urges Berlin to respond to “pro-Russian material” Deutsche Welle*

MOSCOW, August 18 – RIA Novosti. Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleg Nikolenko, accused the German Deutsche Welle * Russian service of publishing materials with a Russian position and urged Germany to respond to it.

“We urge German partners to respond to the Russian propaganda narratives circulating in DW* materials,” Nikolenko wrote on Facebook.

As an example, he cited publications saying that “a mistake of the Ukrainian defenders could lead to a nuclear disaster at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant” and that “forbidding Russians from entering the West will not help defeat Putin (Russian President Vladimir).

Ukraine has repeatedly expressed its dissatisfaction with the German authorities. In June, the chief adviser to Vladimir Zelensky’s office, Aleksey Arestovich, stated that Ukraine still had not seen the five thousand helmets Germany had promised. And the former Ukrainian ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnik even posted on social networks a photo of a snail with a cartridge glued to the shell, the image was accompanied by the caption “German weapons for Ukraine are on the way.”

At the same time, recently, the media has begun to broadcast that Western countries have lost interest in Ukraine. In particular, Telegraph columnist Richard Kemp wrote that Western allies could lose interest in supporting Kiev within three months as they delve into domestic economic problems. And Politico, citing data from the Kiel Institute of World Economy, which maintains the Ukraine Support Tracker database for Kiev, reported in July that the six largest European countries had for the first time since the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine. did not offer any military aid to Kiev.
