UNGA High Level Week will take place from 20-26 September and will include full-time participation of all delegations. The Russian delegation is headed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Earlier, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, wrote to the Secretary General of the organization that as of September 1, none of the Russian delegation had received a US visa. He asked the Secretary-General to draw attention to the need for visa issuance during his meeting with the United States.
“We are actively engaged with the US Mission on visa issues for delegations at UN meetings at Headquarters, and we liaise with the mission in specific cases that come to our attention. In this case, we do the same.”
