Mayor Prikhodko: A civilian died during the bombing of Horlivka, the bullet hit the school

DONETSK, September 9 – RIA Novosti. During the shelling of a village on the territory of Gorlovka by Ukrainian soldiers, a civilian was killed, a shell hit the building of a local school, knowledgeable Mayor Ivan Prikhodko.

The mayor of Gorlovka had previously reported that three civilians were injured during the shelling of the city by Ukrainian troops.

“According to updated information, as a result of the shelling of the village of Gorlovka in Panteleymonovka by Ukrainian militants, one civilian from Gorlovka was killed, three citizens were injured to varying degrees. A direct hit of a Ukrainian bullet on a local school was recorded,” Prikhodko wrote on his Telegram channel.

Gorlovka, 40 kilometers north of Donetsk, is located in the city of the Stirol chemical company and coal mining enterprises. Gorlovka is one of the largest settlements in the Donetsk People’s Republic and has been under the control of the republic since 2014. Before the beginning of the conflict in the Donbass, the population of Gorlovka was more than 250,000. The settlements of Zaitsevo and the Gagarin settlements on its outskirts and the 6/7 mines are most frequently bombarded here.
