Stremousov, deputy head of the Kherson administration, announced the capture of participants in the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
SIMFEROPOL, September 9 – RIA Novosti. Kirill Stremousov, Deputy Head of Regional Administration, told RIA Novosti that Russian troops managed to capture the Ukrainian army, which participated in the counterattack in the Kherson region.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces began attempting a counterattack at the end of August. As noted by the Russian Ministry of Defense, all these attacks are repelled, Ukrainian troops suffer heavy losses of manpower and equipment.
“There are prisoners. I saw them personally. These are unfortunate people whom the Kyiv regime dragged into the trenches and then carried out a suicide attack,” Stremousov said.
According to him, the Ukrainian authorities do not take into account the dead, and since August 29, more than three thousand people have been lost.
He added that the counterattack broadcast in the Ukrainian media had practically turned into a utopia and suicide.
“We will reject this Nazism,” said Stremousov.
Since February 24, a Russian military special operation has been taking place in Ukraine. Vladimir Putin described his mission as “protecting people who have been subjected to eight years of bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime”. According to the president, the ultimate goal is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee Russia’s security.
During the special operation, the Russian army took control of the Azov part of the Zaporozhye region and the entire Kherson region, occupied such major cities as Kherson, Melitopol and Berdyansk, and cut off Ukraine from the Sea of u200bu200bAzov. New administrations have been established in both regions, Russian TV channels and radio stations are broadcasting, trade and transport links with Crimea are being re-established. Local authorities have announced their plans to become part of Russia.
